How to become a weeder

You don’t need to be a plant expert to become a newbie weeder  just a few hours of spare time and a passion for gardening.

Weed all about it

News, events, gardening
 tips and other
ramblings.

How to book a weeder

Book a seedling weeder for an extra pair of hands or find a perennial weeder to offer suggestions to beautify your borders.

WeWeed's story

WeWeed was set up after Janet and Justine offered a helping a hand to people in their
gardens during the pandemic.

It became clear that there was a great need, not just for gardeners in general, but also
women gardeners who could offer companionship just as much as physical help or
creative flair.

Our aim is to enable and support more people as self-employed, professional and
companion gardeners. So, if you love gardening, have a few hours to spare each week
and want to top up your income by helping someone less-able or, if you are already a
gardening professional looking to work or collaborate within a supportive, like-minded
community, then start your journey here and see where the weeds will take you.

Review about Janet Wood
Janet has been supporting our late fathers partner in the garden. She has helped her engage with the garden, encouraging her to choose, grow and harvest her own vegetables and supporting her to cook or make salads with the produce. Janet has a wonderful way with her and a close bond has been made. They both get a sense of fulfilment from not only the relationship between them both but the garden looks absolutely fantastic. Thank you Janet - your service is very much needed and has kept structure and purpose in the life of people who have become more vulnerable.

Review about Anna Roberts
Anna, as she says. look s a bit wonky but she can carry a bag of compost on her shoulder as good as any man and is't afraid to get stuck in. Her plant knowledge is excellent in my opinion but her best assets, in my mind, are her laugh and her sense of humour.
